Olei intends that all of the essential content and functionality of the website are independent of the physical devices and web browsers used, the technical standards encoded for free use, and accessible to browsers adapted for people with sensory, motor or cognitive limitations.
The European Union, in the Council's resolution of 25 March 2002, encourages Member States to take into account the need for digital content to be accessible and, following this recommendation, in the Law 34/2002, of 11 July , Services of information society and electronic commerce, the government has taken the necessary measures so that the information available on their Web sites accessible to people with disabilities and the elderly, according to the criteria of Content Accessibility generally recognized, before December 31, 2005.
Consistent with this objective, the design of the Olei website was given the accessibility recommendations for the first level of the W3C WAI guidelines.
